ABOVE & BEYOND LYRICS

Time held its breath
A motionless spell of rapture

Across the room
A memory had been captured

And through the years
Though distance lay between us
I carried your torch
To illuminate the darkness

And I still lose myself
In that orange glowing moment
When your upturned face
Seemed to answer all my questions
But when I asked myself
As I do from time to time now
Where it all went wrong
Is there really any point in making plans?
In making plans?

So I made my vows
In the last low hours of morning
As I lay you down
I heard you whispering a warning

But then we lost ourselves
In that orange glowing moment
And your upturned face
Seemed to answer all my questions
But when I asked myself
As I do from time to time now
Where it all went wrong
Is there really any point in making plans?
In making plans?

And I still lose myself
I still lose myself
making plans

ACROSS AND BEYOND THE DEVIDE:

Bioinformatics is a multidisciplinary field derived from computational and biologicalsciences. Its multidisciplinary nature has created a niche for specialists trained inboth biology and computing, and it has required distinct teaching cooperation fromexperts in these two different areas. Consequently, teaching bioinformatics willrequire specialist educators with in-depth knowledge of the two different components-- biology and computer science. Because this is quite a daunting task, mostuniversities lack the necessary specialists and experienced bioinformatics staff. Theymust therefore resort to the logical route of interdisciplinary and cross-facultyteaching. However, interfaculty teaching subsequently raises the issue of‘ownership’, and consequently creates concerns regarding teaching and learningcultures, as it is obvious that each discipline has an its own inherent culture. In thisarticle, we examined the curricula and their implementations at two Malaysianuniversities. Because both universities place their bioinformatics courses in opposingdepartments, we aimed to study how educators overcome the interdisciplinarybarrier. In addition, we concisely explain the components that constitute thebioinformatics field, analyse the unique education criteria that are required to produceindividuals with bioinformatics training and provide an overview of globalbioinformatics education to further improve our implementation of bioinformaticseducation

Above, Over and Beyond

Above, Over And Beyond is Hale's third album released on April 28, 2008 by EMI Philippines. The album contains singles Pitong Araw, Leap Of Faith, Over And Over (And Over Again) and Sandali Na Lang.

History

Having to deal with the pressure they encountered due to their instant success after the release of their two preceding albums, Hale decided to make a 10-month hiatus from the music industry as they reasoned out it was affecting their status as musical artistes and their performances. During their time of hiatus, they established the Treehouse Productions where they would help the needy children suffering from illnesses through music.

It was not long until Hale was motivated to put in work for their third effort. After the release of the first single of this album, Pitong Araw, the album was later released on April 28, 2008
